Figuring Out What You Want
If you are disenchanted with your job or career path, it is a good idea to write down the reasons you are not fulfilled. Half of knowing what you want is knowing what you don’t want.
Make a promise to yourself to notice what jobs and careers other people are doing. Ask them what they like about their work, would they do make the same career choice and how they got into their field.
To make a good choice about a career, you must learn about yourself and have access to information that will match your attitudes, values and skills to the labour market.
There is no magic formula. As Buddha says, “Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it."
