Rainbows Program
Rainbows is a peer support program for children who have suffered a significant loss in their life by death, divorce, separation or any other painful transitions such as moving or long deployments. We’ll celebrate your child’s participation with a “Celebrate Me” event on December 6. Please note that parents must attend the orientation session. Cost of $10 covers nutritional breaks. Please register by September 6 by calling the MFRC at 250-363-2640 (toll free 1-800-353-3329). For more information, visit the Rainbows website.

Social Thinking Group
Is your child having difficulty in social situations? If so, the MFRC is piloting a four-week social thinking group for 6-9 year olds. Social Thinking helps children gain the skills for everyday social interactions. Social thinking groups teach children concepts in a fun, interactive learning environment and will be instructed by a registered Social Worker with a Masters Degree in Play Therapy.
