Crisis and Emergency Services
Emergency Services
Emergency Services offers support and resources to members and their families during emergencies related to child care, deployment, pregnancy, and any other urgent family situation. Once you call us for assistance, an assessment is made of your needs and resources so that an action plan can be developed. This plan may involve services and resources offered through the MFRC and/or referrals to community agencies. The Emergency Services Program maintains a list of qualified care providers who can provide childcare during an emergency. Our 24-Hour Information Line is available 365 days per year at 250–363–2640 (toll free 1–800–353–3329 throughout Canada).
Short-term Counselling
Individuals, couples and families experiencing situational or personal crises can access timely counselling sessions in a confidential atmosphere of support.
